ECCENTRIC SCREW PUMPS
compact – robust – efficient
The eccentric screw pump consits of a rotating displacement unit which is either an eccentric screw or a rotor. Its second element is the stator. The rotating part, the rotor, is in the shape of a rounded singlethreated spiral shaft with a large pitch. The static element is the stator and it is shaped like a double-threated inside screw. It thereby doubles the pitch of the rotor.
Consequently cavities arise between the rotor and the stator. They are always symmetrical in size when the rotor is rotating. When the rotor is set to rotate, these cavities and consequently the substances in them to be propelled, are shoved along in a screw-like manner from the suction to the pressure side.
KIESEL pumps are suitable for a huge range of applications. The pumps have proved one’s worth since 1965. They can solve any task to pump nearly all mediums continuously, softly, less of vibration and with equalized pressure. KIESEL pumps can be used in almost every industrial sector.
Eccentric screw pumps are self-priming displacement pumps. They can easily pump mediums which are high viscosity and less free-flowing. Also fibrous transported material will be safely pumped. We can equip the pump with several engine-power class and composite materials.

IMPELLER PUMPS
compact and flexible
KIESEL-Impeller pumps are self-priming pumps. They unite the characteristics of a rotary pump and a positive displacement pump into one.
The working principle is very simple. The rotating part of the pump is a flexible wheel (impeller), which is made of an elastomer material. This impeller turns in a casing, which has an eccentric form. Here the individual wings of the impeller are strongly bent, whereby the volume between the wings is decreased. On the suction side, the wings spread apart through residual stress. The suction area increases. A vacuum develops, whereby the pump independentaly self-primes. On the pressure side, the wings are squeezed together. The gaps will become smaller and be emptied.
KIESEL-Impeller pumps exhibit a continuous pulsation-free pumping flow.
The pumping direction can be reversed without difficulty. Thereby, the impeller pumps efficiency does not change.
The KIESEL-Impeller pumps achieve the best efficiency at the speed of between 500 and 1500 rpm. Higher revs strongly decrease the life span of the impeller. At lower speed efficiency drops drastically, because of the "slip" between the impeller and the casing.
The number of pump revolutions depends strongly on the homogeneity, viscosity and abrasiveness of the pumping agent.
The impeller pumps are self-lubricating. Given that, without lubrication between the impeller and housing, frictional heat develops fast. The impeller pump may run unlubricated, but only briefly. The suction process must be completed within 30 seconds. After the moistening of the impellers with the pumping medium, a longer unlubricated operation is possible.

KIESEL Agitators are handy and mobile units for mixing liquids of watery viscosity in wine- and champagne-, grape-juice cellars, distilleries as well as in the whole beverage industry. KIESEL Agitators represent a new generation of universal units that are capable of meeting all requirements of the modern cellar economy. The available three sizes may be used for tanks having a capacity ranging from approx. 200 to 80.000 liters.
The special features of these units are the strong engine power, the extremely strong bearings on which the agitator shaft is running, and the robust construction. Useless weight has been avoided to facilitate handling. For KIESEL Agitators special hollow-shaft motors have been engineered to enable an easy interchangeability. Through the hollow-shaft it is possible to retract the agitator shaft so far that the agitator can be screwed on the closed shutoff device (valve, ball cock, tank slide). Then the shutoff device is opened and the agitator shaft is introduced into the tank. This procedure does not cause any loss by leakage or pressure drop.
APPLICATIONS
The easiest way to attach the agitator is through the hunghole flap of the clar sequence. Using the shock tube the bunghole flap cover is held by the agitator. At all shut-off devices of the clear sequence which have a free flow the KIESEL agitators can be attached. By retracting the agitator shaft into the threaded connection the agitator can be screwed at the closed valve (angle valve, tank valve, ball valve). Thereafter the agitator shaft is pushed through the opened valve and is locked on the bayonet fitting on the motor.
We manufacture flanged agitators for special agitator tanks with mounted rigid agitator shaft. The size of the units depends on the drives ranging from 2,2 to 11 kW. The units can be used for tanks with a capacity of up to 100.000 liters.
With the help of a special stable mount, the RG 0 and RG 01 can be attached to an open rack and vat. The application of the mixer on wooden kegs is put on with the help of a cone piece, which is chocked in a bung hole.
The mount makes adjustability of the equipment in higher and lower angles possible. In order to ease application and simple transport of the heavier mixer RG 03, an easily driven wagon has been constructed. The mixer can be fixed in the height of the clear out-flow. Even a safe mixer element is possible with the wagon.
The application of the mixer on wooden kegs is put on with the help of a cone piece, which is chocked in a bung hole.
